Chapter 89: We Killed Someone
Shen Yi looked at the room and decided to check again if everything was in place.
Since Mu Chen apartment was bigger than hers, she decided to surprised him there, the idea came to her when he gave her a key to his apartment last week.
The light to the room was off and it was filled with scented candles. Shen Yi went to the bathroom and looked at the mirror, she felt nervous because she was only wearing a robe and underneath the robe was just her underwear, she has decided to gift him herself. Tonight was not only Mu Chen’s birthday but it was also a start of a new beginning in their relationship.
She smiled when she heard as the living room door open and checked herself once again in the mirror before coming out of the bathroom. She took the cake she baked for Mu Chen and waited in front of the bedroom door and as soon as the door was opened she shouted "Happy Birthday!"
Mu Chen was first startled when he heard someone screamed happy birthday to him. He saw that it was Zhou Xi and sighed "You remembered?"
"Of course I remembered, how do you think I would forget your birthday?" Zhou Xi asked in a pout.
Mu Chen smiled and said "You behaved as if you didn’t care when we were at the filming site, so you can’t blame me for being this surprised."
"I only did that because I wanted to surprise you. I even bake a cake."
Instead of looking at the cake that Zhou Xi was holding, Mu Chen gaze focused on the robe Zhou Xi was wearing and asked "Is the cake the only thing I’m getting for my birthday?"
