Chapter 41: Smile.
It was more than fear, it was deeper and heavier than fear... it was something that they just couldn’t understand, how this could be happening... that a nobody who was thrown away by his family, somebody who was a broken boy... now literally pressured them with simple words, pressured them with his presence.
Like father, like son... the potential he had deep down had now come out, and now they felt like they were in a pit with a lion.
A young lion... a lion with the potential to become the king of all. A lion whose eyes focused solely on the prey... on them... and nothing else.
This wasn’t arrogance, this was certainty, the kind of certainty born from suffering, despair.
"It started off pretty bad." Trevor spoke. "We aren’t the ones that sent you to prison, we had no hands in it, and this..." He gestured around. "... is like a reunion. We built something you can be a part of."
"I didn’t come to join your little retirement club, and second, don’t lie." He looked straight at Trevor. "When I was questioned, beaten, they brought up every one of y’all’s names, the money, the cards, and where the money went to. But anyway, I came to collect the debt y’all stole from my father."
"We never stole." Ivanka raised her voice once again with her arrogance. "You are—"
"Can you shut up? I can smell the dick coming from your mouth." Joseph said, and again Pablo, now even the guard, laughed up. "You only got in the family because back then you were younger, had a gorgeous body and big ass, a fuckable bitch, that’s what you were and everybody knew it. But then my father realized you were good with numbers, not just with dick, and you at that moment realized how much money he has and you started taking some of it."
It was the truth which just angered her even more... she was a woman that was known for being a side bitch for Joseph’s father and that’s how she got her role in the family.
