Chapter 9: Twice.
Everybody looked at Olivia as she whispered it, as an agent for one of the most powerful agencies just said that something is impossible... it was telling that something bad is going on, or moreover that Joseph did something impossible.
"What is that?!" Jelena shouted at her, but Olivia was totally frozen, looking at Joseph who was just smirking... yeah he knew all the fucking time, all the ten years he fucking knew what happened... "Tell it before I kill everybody you love!" Jelena shouted again as she pushed the gun barrel to her head.
Olivia slowly looked up at her, with still that lost expression.
"It was a... special force back in the day..." She whispered to her.
Silence again.
"A special force?" Jelena asked and she just burst out laughing. "A fucking special force killed everyone?!" She shouted as she punched her once with her left hand, and then again and again. "Lie once more, you little bitch! Tell me that fucking special force killed our families, you—
"It’s true..." Gabbana interrupted her as he stepped beside Vincente and looked at his phone. "Direct Action Group, was a multinational special operations unit tasked with the targeted elimination across multiple countries and regions worldwide." He read out one of the hundreds of articles that was about them, all of it dating back a decade.
There was even a picture that was attached to one of the articles with at least 30 persons with military gear and censored faces.
"The whole government was in our families’ hands! It is impossible that they killed them!" Jelena shouted once again. She was now over the line, all these lies about everybody, about what exactly happened, these fucking made-up stories.
