The next day, Matthias, of course, kept his promise to his wife, wanting to end this whole situation quickly. Moreover, this situation was truly unforgivable, as it involved his wife engaging in illicit sex with another man. Just the thought of it made him sick.
Luckily, Chris still made time to meet him, even if it seemed abrupt. Matthias didn’t care what kind of reprimand Chris had planned. Just looking at Chris’s face disgusted him.
"It’s unusual for a perfectionist CEO to come to me in the morning without an appointment." Chris placed black coffee on the table for his special guest.
Matthias smiled sarcastically, crossing his legs. "I heard you’re looking for female models to promote your new product."
Chris snapped his fingers. "I’m sure you’ve heard from Victoria. I’m actually recruiting a suitable woman to shoot a new summer product commercial."
"But, why choose Victoria among all the models in this city?"
"Because Victoria happens to be the perfect fit for advertising that product. Her physique is perfect, and her face is truly beautiful."
Matthias wanted to throw his hands in Chris’ face, the moment he heard his wife being verbally abused. "Don’t ever dare to openly praise her face and body using your dirty mouth!"
"Didn’t you ask earlier why I chose Victoria to help me?"
"The point is, I don’t want you to tell Victoria to do it." He laughed irritably as he took a sip of his coffee. "Did you approach her on purpose just to take advantage of her? It just so happens that her studio’s finances are unstable, and by offering her this substantial bonus, you thought Victoria would be happy and accept this lucrative offer."
"Matthias, why are you defending Victoria so much? You’re just business partners."
"No. Victoria and I have been dating all this time."
