Chapter 74: Is That True?
Matthias was very curious about why his mother suddenly approved of his marriage to Victoria. However, he didn’t want to ask too many questions that might make her change her mind again. He was relieved now, no longer worried that his mother would forbid him from marrying the woman he loved. His focus now was on winning his wife’s heart completely.
He returned home happy because he would date his wife more freely. He didn’t have to worry about his mother forbidding him from dating anymore.
Meanwhile, Victoria wondered what had made her husband smile so happily. Initially, she was focused on the romantic drama she was watching. Now, her focus was on her husband, who looked adorable.
"By the way, didn’t your mother scold you? Didn’t your mother call you because she wanted to scold you?"
Matthias pressed his lips together tightly. He immediately embraced his wife affectionately, gently stroking her hair. "I wasn’t scolded this time. I’m just happy."
"Isn’t your mother a fierce woman?"
"Actually, she’s not always fierce. But, for some reason, my mother is being nice to me today." He broke the hug for a moment and then kissed his wife’s forehead for a few seconds. "You don’t have to be afraid anymore."
"Matthias, what exactly are you talking about now?"
"It seems like my mother approves of our relationship."
Victoria’s brow furrowed. "What?"
"She told me earlier. So, you don’t need to be afraid of her."
"But, this is so strange. Why did your mother suddenly approve of our relationship?"
