Chapter 73: Did I Do Something Wrong Last Night?
Speaking of mistakes, Matthias doesn’t consider what his wife did all night to be a mistake. He’ll never forget her open declaration of love at that time. In fact, he hopes she’ll come clean someday, sober.
He smiled sweetly as he gazed at his overly beautiful wife with infatuation. "Don’t worry, you didn’t make me angry last night."
"Weren’t you lying earlier?" Victoria’s lips pursed. "Especially since you sometimes lie to me when it comes to romantic matters."
"Yes, I really am not lying. If I were, I wouldn’t have the courage to talk to you now."
Instead of getting angry, Victoria let out a happy laugh as she placed her spoon in the bowl. Her sweet smile made her husband love her even more, and she laughed happily too.
"Matthias, is it true that you were born an innocent man?"
Matthias felt a sense of déjà vu with his wife’s recent question. She had asked him the same question before, making him start to miss their sweet moments from the past. However, he was still determined to put the past behind him and start anew with the woman he loved.
"Yes, I was born an innocent man. In fact, last night I was a little surprised when you suddenly attacked me first."
"Me?" Victoria’s eyes widened.
"Yes, you were really naughty last night. But I can’t think of it as a mistake."
"Matthias, should I teach you a lesson?"
"Wouldn’t it be more likely that you should be taught a lesson?"
