Chapter 36: Snake Woman
As usual, Amber did all the sneaky ways to win Matthias’ heart again. Coincidentally, today she was also called by Matthias’ mother again to discuss something important. Actually, Amber knew what that important thing meant. Because Matthias’ mother really urged her to immediately become Matthias’ girlfriend before another woman took him.
Even though Amber couldn’t sleep last night because her welcoming event ended in chaos, she tried to look confident in front of her future mother-in-law because she definitely had to bring good news before her future mother-in-law was disappointed.
"Amber, how are you?"
Amber smiled kindly as she lowered her head. "I am still healthy as usual, Aunt Lucretia."
Lucretia smiled warmly, holding her future daughter-in-law’s hand. "You don’t have to lie to me. I can see that your face looks wrinkled and the bags under your eyes are obvious. If something happened, you should have told me."
Finally, Amber pulled out her trump card to get Lucretia’s full support. She took out her phone and showed the contents of the gossip that was heating up on her community forum.
"Actually, my welcoming event yesterday was a bit chaotic. Matthias attended my welcoming event, but he also invited a woman to accompany him."
Lucretia read all the hot gossip that was still being talked about until now. Her right hand was clenched tightly as she stared at her future daughter-in-law’s eyes which were still glassy.
"Then why don’t you just stop it?"
