Chapter 7: Broke Up
Victoria was still not ready to tell the truth, seeing Ansel’s innocent expression. She knew Ansel’s innocent personality very well and always understood her feelings. However, when it came to food, until now sometimes Ansel was insensitive and could not imitate her cooking. The only one who knew what she wanted the most was Matthias. However, that didn’t mean she immediately fell in love with Matthias. Considering their families were enemies behind each other’s backs.
"You were just joking, right? Maybe you’re busy tomorrow. What about the day after tomorrow? Are you working overtime the day after tomorrow?"
Victoria shook her head weakly as she looked down. "I’m not kidding, Ansel. I really can’t date you starting today."
Ansel felt like his heart was struck by a powerful lightning. Suddenly his breath began to become short of breath hearing those hurtful words from his fiancée directly.
"Why are you suddenly acting like this? Did I do something wrong?"
"I’m not ready to marry you. Actually, yesterday I had doubts whether I deserve to marry you or not. I can’t even love myself."
"Why? Weren’t you confident yesterday that you wanted to marry me? Why did you change your mind all of a sudden?"
Victoria tried to keep a straight face. She took off her engagement ring and put it on the table. "Because I can’t give my heart completely to you."
"Is there anyone slandering you not to marry me?"
