The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra

Chapter 286: Not Again (2)

This underground path was connected to the sewers, which would be the end of the path. It was damp, and there would even be occasional rats lingering around, but Arren wasn’t that scared about them, but instead, he began to observe the place.

Before, he could hardly walk, and even taking a step was as though his energy was being consumed massively. There was a pungent smell in the air, but Arren only scrunched his nose and never bothered with them again.

Other than the occasional light from the gaps, it was so dark inside. He used the wall again to support himself and increased his pace.

His energy had not been completely recovered, so as much as he wanted to rush himself, Arren had to think long-term. Escaping here didn’t mean that he was successful, as it would only be the start of his escape.

Arren had not forgotten his speculation that this city was somehow under the control of the organization, and even if it was not, their forces here were still enough to find him before he had the opportunity to leave the city and return to the capital.

At least for the time being, until that psycho returns, no one would be able to tell that he was not inside the room. Arren would not slack just because of this assurance, but instead, he purposely shortened his expectations to a mere few minutes before they discovered his absence.

His hand was the small tile; he didn’t know he had yet to throw it aside, but Arren decided to hold on to it for a while. After all, this could be considered a small weapon as well.

At some point, though, when he stepped into a familiar spot, it triggered something in his memory. Arren was momentarily halted in his tracks. This place was one of the most remarkable memories he had in this place.

This was the part when he met Princess Noreen.
