He soon dismissed this thought. Perhaps saying he was too worried for Arren’s safety was even more accurate in this situation. He couldn’t be blamed for it.
Arren was really a prime target for the organization. If not for the unexpected situation on the frontlines, Spade would not leave the capital. It was also not possible to bring Arren with him, as it could even pose a greater risk.
Frowning, Spade shook his head and calmed his negative thoughts. After dismissing everyone and ordering them to return to their respective positions, Spade, his secretary, and a few of his guards were left inside the tent.
Spade took his phone and decided to call Arren. Instead of worrying here, he could just ask the omega. The call rang a few times before a busy tone sounded.
He frowned and dialed again. It only repeated itself the first time. Busy? His brows knitted and he looked at his phone, but after seeing the time, Despite being uneasy, he realized that maybe Arren visited his omega father.
He knew that Arren would be cooking the dishes for him, and in most cases, it was really possible that the omega didn’t bring his phone with him.
Nonetheless, he was not completely at ease.
"Serrien," Spade called his secretary, who stood not far away from him.
"Yes, Your Majesty?"
Unclasping his hand that was already clenched into a fist without him knowing, he continued. "Tell a team of royal guards to check on Arren and tell him I’m calling."
Serrien nodded and immediately complied.
