Chapter 239: Birthday Heat (4)
While waiting for Spade, Arren remained in his position, but he leaned his head to the side as he closed his eyes. The faint pheromones from his clothes were not exactly enough, but they were better than nothing, and they kept his rationality at bay.
Arren couldn’t say the same about his desires, or at least he felt more excited than usual. It was as though he was drunk or high on some drugs, and in this case, high on Spade’s pheromones.
He took a deep breath, scooted further inside, laid down on his side, and hugged his knees. Arren still had his eyes closed, and it seemed like any minute he was about to fall asleep.
It was still warm, and somehow the uncomfortable feeling of wanting to have something had already awakened inside of him, but it wasn’t so intense that he would lose his sanity because of it.
His pre-heat might be much longer than last time before his actual heat erupted.
Arren was in this position when Spade arrived and looked at him. Even though Spade didn’t know where the omega was, his pheromones, which were slowly being induced by his heat, were enough to give his location.
As soon as Spade stood before him, Arren, relaxing himself in his nest of Spade’s clothes, opened his eyes. He lifted his gaze, and he instantly met the alpha’s gaze. Spade had already crouched down as he stared at Arren; his deep amber pupils looked much darker and more prominent this time.
They stared at each other for a few moments like that; no one spoke. A few seconds later, Arren grinned and opened his mouth to call the alpha’s name.
"Spade." His voice was low and somehow lazy, but there was still a charming touch to it. It was especially so with his misty gaze and the glint of desire in his eyes.
Spade, who squatted in front of him, touched Arren’s cheek and responded gently. Even with the clear desire that was gradually shrouding him, there was still the same softness in his expression that never faded.
"Why are you here?" his voice low and indulging.
