The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra

Chapter 238: Birthday Heat (3)

A week later, the battle in the Ford Domain was still at a stalemate. And the military became even more cautious as communications inside the city were cut off, which meant they were blind to the situation inside.

After all, while the city fell under the control of the Marquis and his organization because of their years of preparations in secret, the citizens inside couldn’t possibly all be on their side.

At first, protests inside erupted because of the panic and anger among citizens, and the media was still active in broadcasting what was happening inside. Later, with the internet, the military still had the means to know the current situation.

Yet, a few days ago, it was so silent that even the reporters were all missing and were probably captured. They couldn’t rashly siege the city without knowing the situation, but the fight at the borders and the gate became even more intense.

What was astonishing was the strength of the organization’s forces; they were definitely under the influence of drugs as they attacked fiercely like beasts, disregarding their wellbeing just to take down their opponent.

Because of all this, the battle in that part of the empire still hadn’t reached a conclusion and might last a few more weeks.

Arren put down his phone. He was always updated on what was happening in the war through the news and Spade. He lay down on the couch and looked at the ceiling; his everyday life was still the same.

In fact, it was so peaceful that if Arren wasn’t checking the news, he wouldn’t feel the crisis at all, even though there was a war currently happening.

"I’m really slacking off," Arren muttered, somehow in a daze. There were some days when he thought of school and how he was about to graduate this year, but he had to take a break. "Damn, so Ramon graduated before me?"

Arren wasn’t depressed because of his break, and he failed to graduate this year since he wasn’t that good in school and only wanted to finish it for the sake of finishing college.

"It’s been a while since I talked to that guy." Arren looked at his phone, which he rarely used these days aside from when he was playing his game or looking at the news, and logged on to his social media account.
