Chapter 217: Decision (2)
Looking at Rave, the first thing that flashed into his mind was, something must have happened when he met his subordinates, or it had something to do with the information he got from them.
Rave continued at his pace until he was already sitting beside Arren. He leaned on the seat, looking weak.
Arren frowned, he was really worried and he couldn’t help but touched the omega’s forehead He only sighed in relief that he didn’t have a fever.
"What happened?" Arren asked, still concerned since Rave looked exhausted or something else he couldn’t pinpoint. "Did you find out something?" He stared at the omega’s face, observing his expression.
The white-haired omega met his eyes, and for a moment a conflicted emotion flickered in his eyes. Rave exhaled, fidgeting with his hand, but he didn’t avert his eyes from Arren.
"I met him." After a moment of pause, Rave spoke. This made Arren, who was about to say anything again, fall silent, not knowing what to say.
They didn’t need to mention the name, as both already had a tacit understanding of who it was. Arren didn’t know when it started that they hadn’t mentioned Levin’s name in the conversation. Before he always teased the omega for it, mentioning Levin’s name out of nowhere, but now he refrained himself from doing so.
Arren bit his lips, thinking of the right way to answer Rave. From how he looked at this moment, something definitely happened between them. He swallowed and decided to answer casually. He didn’t want to be overly careful or insensitive either, as Arren could only do what he should be doing, which was being there as his friend.
"Did you talk to him?" he spoke in a lower tone, thinking of where Levin was right now, he hastily added and informed, "I saw him too. He’s now talking to Spade."
Rave seemed not surprised by what he told him, or perhaps Levin had already mentioned it to him.
"Last night, we... talked, and he was out of it the whole time." There was something in Rave’s tone that sounded as though he was too affected by what they talked about. No, obviously he was too affected.
