"Do you want to go back now?"
Rave was looking at the beach outside when his dad asked him, and soon Ivo was already beside him. He blinked his eyes and then looked at his dad.
It had been days since they met again, and Rave still thought sometimes that he was only dreaming. This was his important goal at the start: to find and see his parents once more, and now that it was almost within his reach, he still felt it was surreal.
However, he knew that it was real. One of his parents, whom he had been longing for, was already here. Rave couldn’t think or do anything else during the past few days as he only focused on his father; he didn’t even ask anything yet.
He didn’t want to ruin it; Rave only wanted to treasure the time he had been dreaming of, just being with his parents. However, now that a few days had passed and the overwhelming feelings had somewhat calmed down, he knew that it was time to face reality once more.
Rave was truly happy, or rather, he was glad to see Ivo after all these years and that all his efforts were not in vain; he was really alive, and he was there in the flesh.
It was just that... Rave stared at Ivo and the burned scars that he tried to ignore and overlook after their reunion. He clasped his hands in front of him and pursed his lips. He was upset. Not to his parents, but in the situation, it was as if he could vaguely foresee that the fight was not truly over.
His omega father was here, but not his alpha dad. Rave was afraid to ask this; he thought he wasn’t ready yet to know and confirm his guess.
But now, there was no use in running away; in fact, running away and escaping to reality was never the way he did things. Only when it came to his family and the people he was close with did he often use his emotions rather than his rationality.
