Chapter 79: Waking Up
Arren was sleepy, and in the end, he couldn’t help but succumb to it. Although it was truly ridiculous to be sleepy since he was already in the dream in the first place. However, considering that it was in an almost impossible vivid dream, it didn’t seem too far-fetched either.
He wanted to say goodbye to the shadow, but he didn’t manage to do so as he became unconscious in no time, and the next thing was that it was complete darkness.
All his senses came back, and Arren was certain that he was now awake and that once he opened his eyes, he would be able to see where he was. So he did open his eyes; he was concerned that his father and Spade were worried about him.
Although that was given, he also wanted to know what had happened to him, and he suddenly became dizzy. He didn’t acquire some terminal illness again, did he?
A white ceiling was the first thing Arren saw when he opened his eyes. The light was slightly blinding to the eyes, and he had to blink his eyes a few times to adjust.
After a while, he was completely awake. He also realized that he was in the hospital. Arren sighed; he just made a huge commotion in the banquet when he wanted to keep himself low profile. No, what happened to the banquet after he fainted?
They didn’t finish it too early for him, right?
"You’re awake, son." A hoarse voice resounded in his ears, and Arren recognized it in an instant. It was his father. He immediately focused his gaze on his left side.
"Fa...ther," Arren uttered, and he was surprised that his throat was so dry! That word was difficult for him to say; it immediately brought alarm bells to his mind. How many days was he asleep? He thought he was out for only a few hours, but considering his condition, it might even be days!
