Chapter 61: Team Up (1)
Arren parted his lips, and he fell silent. A lot of thoughts suddenly flashed through his mind. Rave’s father saw the leader’s face.
Arren was taken aback earlier when Rave claimed that his parents did not die in the bloody year and simply vanished. He didn’t know of this information, however, and he also brushed it off as part of the details he forgot.
And now that Rave told them that his father saw the face of the leader, doubts really began to appear in his mind. Suddenly, Arren wasn’t sure anymore. Was this ever mentioned in the novel, or one of the plot holes?
There was such a possibility that he couldn’t be sure either. However, he had the feeling this information was really going to be crucial.
Arren stared at the omega in front of him. He thought that as someone who transmigrated and the one who read the novel, he was the one who could understand Rave more than anyone, including Rave himself.
And yet, it was as if reality tried to slap Arren again, reminding him once more that this world was not a novel anymore and the things he knew might not necessarily be accurate in time.
As he continued to watch Rave, a thought flashed in his mind. Was it possible that Rave’s main goal in investigating the organization and that bloody year was not to know the downfall of their family or avenge his parents but to find out his parents’ whereabouts all along?
A flash of insight flashed through his eyes before dissipating. There was no need to think too much or trap himself in the so-called plot; Rave was already here to fill him in on everything he wanted to know. This was only the beginning.
"What made you convinced that your parents are still alive?" Spade inquired, and Arren decided to focus on the conversation first and shelve all of his doubts and thoughts for the time being.
