The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra

Chapter 45: Labels and Acceptance

Arren unknowingly reached their garden. He looked around, and when he saw no one around, he sat down on the grass and sighed in relief. His hand touched his chest, and he felt how his heartbeat gradually calmed down.

This was so crazy. Spade’s effect on him appeared to be bigger than he initially thought.

When he first flirted with Spade and thought he was a royal investigator, Arren was attracted by his appearance alone. He thought that the alpha was a good catch because of it. Who wouldn’t be fascinated by that perfect and sexy figure of Spade?

And as days went by, his interest and curiosity seemed to be increasing each day. Especially when the alpha attended to him and accompanied him as he was feeling lost and wanted someone to talk to.

Arren realized that he might be truly falling to the alpha. But then... he discovered that he was an important character he had been avoiding ever since he remembered his previous life. His mind and heart became confused, and for a moment, Arren hesitated. What should he do now? That was the question he was always running from.

Looking at a new perspective, Arren hadn’t experienced love before, and even the idea of having a crush had never appeared in his mind. His heart’s condition in his previous life was so bad that a slight stimulation could lead to him being sent into an emergency.

A heart transplant was actually one of the options his parents had considered before, but the doctor said that the percentage of heart failure was extremely high. Since he already experienced a heart transplant when he was young.

The romance was a luxury he would never afford. So, he had no clue what it was like to fall in love even though he had watched and read about this genre before.

As a matter of fact, even watching strongly stimulating movies were forbidden to him. And when he was in the hospital for the last time, he thought of indulging himself and reading a lot of online novels.

So, this feeling was a first for him. It also had a barrier that he was hesitant to cross. Perhaps as he had been escaping for years, it also became a habit and his most logical reaction once he finally met the crucial characters.

Arren let himself be dragged by his thoughts as he sat there on the grass comfortably. Now that he did meet one and... even flirted with him, Arren’s mind became conflicted. Or, more like, he started to have doubts about what his purpose actually.
