Chapter 193: The Meaning of Bond
For the next few weeks, me and Bob were having vigorous training. We did that by completing many quests that involved eliminating monsters.
Of course, Kim joined as well.
Right now, we are in the Field of Galeon area.
"Arrgh! This crazy frog! Its saliva struck my hips! Kim, heal me fast!" Bob panicked.
"You are so careless! Minor Detoxify!"
A yellow light from one of the basic spells of the Acolyte class hit Bob and removed the toxin.
"Alan! Go finish it! Avenge me!" Bob shouted dramatically.
"You don't need to tell me that." I rushed behind the back of the Giant Poison Frog. I activated Arc Burst Combo, imbuing Indra with the last elemental I used just now, which was a flame spell. The blade was covered in a red aura, with flames engulfing it.
Swooosh!!
I slashed the back of the frog horizontally, leaving a burning wound on its back. I then dashed backward and shot toward its head as it turned toward me.
Booom!!
A fiery bullet was released and smashed the frog's head like a watermelon. Its brain matter scattered on the ground as its body fell.
"Nice finish, Alan!" Kim was excited. He then proceeded to collect the organs of the monsters as proof for the quests. We then proceeded to the next spots for hunting.
Even though Kim is new to the life of an adventurer, he is fast at getting the hang of it as a support class. His timing for healing is pretty good. With his presence, I can totally stay on the offensive without thinking of backing others.
But of course, there is room for mistakes.
"Hey, Kim! What is this? Why do you always heal Alan? I noticed that I rarely get healed by you. Is this a kind of favoritism?" Bob was descending from the sky as he approached Kim.
"Huh? How the hell can my spell reach you when you are up high in the sky? So I just heal someone who is within my reach. If you want my healing, then come closer to me," Kim responded.
Mina then flew down and sat on Kim's shoulder. She had been spending more time with Kim. She liked him as her burden of healing us was greatly reduced. Even she agreed that she had a hard time healing Bob when he was flying.
"Even Mina-chan likes you. What is this? Are you planning to take my place?" Bob was being overdramatic.
"Okay, okay, calm down you two. We are in the same party, alright. Going forward, we need to work together," I said to both of them before I rested my bottom on the nearby roots below the tree. Right now it is the summer season, so the sunlight is bright and there are almost no clouds above us.

I poured the drink into my mouth and it was really refreshing. Bob, Kim, and Mina continued hunting the monsters nearby. We had decided to take turns to rest to increase the efficiency of our hunting. Plus, it would also help Kim practice his skills.

Compared to the other spiritual class that I have, which is Herald of Heaven obtained from Alice, the Acolyte is more oriented toward support, while Herald of Heaven is more offensive.
Although it has a more lukewarm effect, it still has a set of solid skills to help a party in battle. Adding Kim to our group is really a boost to our power.
As my eyes scrolled through the screen, I suddenly noticed something in the [Bond] section, the section where Bob and I had not really focused much, as we did not know its effect.
There was a list of contacts that we had met throughout our journey and fought alongside, and most of them were at Acquaintance, a level higher than Neutral, the starting level. However, when I looked at Kim's bond level, it showed Trusted Ally.
What is this? Trusted Ally? Even Linus, who has spent the most time with us, is only at Acquaintance. But Kim, whom we only met a few weeks ago, skipped a level and reached the second level.
