Chapter 377: Prologue.
Dark clouds hovered above the deadly hills. Lightening and thunders clashed together in the dark cloud, making the night more gloomy and the clouds more terrifying.
The air was thick with mystery.
In the past, there has never been a sound heard around the hills but tonight, something changed. Contrary to the sporadic silent hills, tonight seemed foreign as the sounds of horses approached the hills.
A scary exhale of agony resounded everywhere in the forest. The more the hill came to their view, the more the sounds became more terrifying and teased the men to scramble away or remain loyal and protect their master.
The storm wasn’t normal, they noticed.
The storm only brewed above the hill as the other parts of the cloud remained clear and thunder-free.
Dusk fell upon them and finally, they stood before the hill. These men who arrived before the hill were five in number, the king, his advisor, and three more of his strongest warriors.
A few high pitches, and eerie trills followed by sounds of footsteps responded throughout the hill and the king advisor had urges to run away. Another high scream followed and the poor advisor socked his pants and horse with his watery discharge.
"History has it that no man survives it around here," said the advisor when the king got off his horse.
Another warrior let out a sigh of relief when the king’s advisor spoke up but to their surprise, the king replied with disregard.
"And that history doesn’t include me. Destiny differs and I want to know the creature of the night who resides here. I heard he long existed before my father and unlike my father, I would wipe this place and make it cleansed of anything that isn’t us," the king chuckled as the thought of a creature who existed but wasn’t them nonplussed and amused him.
