Nicklaus smiled, "I don’t know why. I just feel like it’s the right gender to refer to the baby as," he explained.
"Hmm," Arissa thinned her lips thoughtfully, "What if it’s otherwise?" she asked, a soft smile at the end of her lips.
Nicklaus shrugged his shoulders, "It doesn’t matter but I know it would be a girl," he sounded so confident and he didn’t know why.
He showered her stomach with more kisses and said, "Princess_"
Arissa laughed and cut him off, "Princess? Isn’t that name mine already?" she questioned, remembering there were times he referred to her with that title.
"It is," Nicklaus chuckled and his brows ceased together, "Why? Jealous already?" he teased her, mentoring her emotions while he continued kissing his precious child
Arissa scoffed and rolled her eyes, "Why should I be? Giving her my name doesn’t change my position in your life. I’ll remain your wife, and your love for me won’t fade because of her presence, or would it?" she asked confidently.
Nicklaus chuckled softly. He loved the confidence that radiated for her as she spoke about her place in his heart. He knew she had always doubted her place before him but now, she sounded entirely sure, even her emotions showed how genuine she was from her heart. He went back to the time when all she thought of herself when it came to him was being a mare-contracted wife.
"It would not," he assured her before pulling himself up to her face level. He planted a kiss on her nose and added, "You are the queen of my heart and she would be the princess in it." he explained.
