Chapter 302: His Most Beautiful Scenery.
Nicklaus turned worried at how talented Geal was when it came to making Arissa laugh. Geal makes her laugh at the snap of a finger and now, she’s laughing again.
He picked back his cutleries and played with them, absentminded, all focused on the beautiful scenery before him.
From how her eyes disappeared when she laughed to how her dimples brought themselves out to intensify her beauty, Arissa became his most beautiful scenery.
"For real, you’re cute. Your kids would be so lucky to have you." Geal said in appreciation.
"Thank you," Arissa laughed, "And they would also be lucky knowing you,"
Nicklaus watched the both of them converse. Watching them, he awkwardly felt like a third wheel, and his heart clenched. He was undeniably jealous which was uncalled for but he could not help it.
Squeezing himself into the conversation, he murmured, "Indeed," his jealousy sipping out.
Arissa paused laughing and darted her eyes to Nicklaus. Geal’s friendly mask drooped and was replaced with a taunting one when he saw how jealous his friend could get.
"Nick?" Arissa placed her whole attention on him and dropped a hand on his hand holding his cutleries.
Nicklaus raised his face to her but did not try to reduce the abandoned expression he had on.
"What is it?" Arissa question.
