His Toxic Addiction

Chapter 54: Untrue Assumptions.

This was annoying. Her blood stirred up as she picked up her phone.

Arissa could not understand why but the thought of calling Collins is.... - for the first time, calling Collins left her contemplating.

She looked at her phone again but dropped it immediately. And with a deep soothing breath, she picked up her phone and dialed his number.

Dailing his number, her heart dropped but still, she pressed the call button and Collins answered in just two rings.

"Collins," she called as she stood up from her bed and walked to her vanity window, staring at herself to make sure her reaction doesn’t drop and also, to know if she do have feelings for Collins.

"Mmh," Collins hummed from the other end. He was extremely excited she called. He lost hope she would call since it was now an hour since they left but at the same time, he do not let his excitement leak out through his voice.

Arissa’s face dropped. Why did he reply to her this way?

He’s always cheerful to her so why was he using this voice or was he still mad at her? - she bit her lips at the possibility and another wave of hatred toward Nicklaus clouded her heart.

"Are you mad at me?" she asked with her signature neutral voice as she shut all questions away and her voice stronger.

Collins rubbed his forehead realizing that she might have misunderstood his tune. Mad at her? No! He never would be and that’s the last emotion he wants her to feel from him.

Right now, he has to work on winning her heart.
