Chapter 5 - 4 - Reward
After finishing their intimate moment, Julian lay beside Clarissa, who was still under the influence of ecstasy. As he caught his breath, a translucent screen suddenly appeared in front of him, like a digital panel.
"Skill Acquired: [Domination] – due to your strong desire."
Julian blinked several times, unsure if he was hallucinating. He turned to Clarissa and asked, "Hey... do you see this panel too?"
But Clarissa didn’t respond—either still unconscious or... had she turned into a zombie?
Then the screen shifted again.
"Clarissa Evangeline – Domination: 38%"
Julian’s eyes widened. His heart skipped a beat, but he forced himself to stay calm. The name was still Clarissa’s. That was enough reassurance for now.
Was he gaining powers like in a game?
He’d already seen real zombies. Maybe it wasn’t that far-fetched. Maybe he could gain skills.
Suddenly, Clarissa stirred awake. Her eyes fluttered open, and she gasped in shock. "Am I... am I a zombie now?!"
She turned to Julian, and saw him lying naked beside her. Her face flushed bright red.
