Chapter 4 - 3 - Domination
Their steps halted in front of a small room with a sign that read "Medical Room". Without a second thought, Julian opened the door and pulled Clarissa inside.
They quickly shut it and locked it tightly. They drew the curtains closed and turned off all remaining lights.
Silence fell over the room. Only the sound of their breathing remained, quick and uneven.
Julian sat on the white cot, its sheets slightly dusty. His shoulders rose and fell with exhaustion.
"We should be safe for now," he said quietly.
Clarissa stood near the medicine cabinet, still catching her breath. Cold sweat covered her beautiful face. She looked toward Julian.
"Why did you... help me?"
Julian stared at the ceiling for a few seconds before answering.
"If I left you there, you would’ve been Erwin’s bait to save himself."
Clarissa bit her lip, then spoke softly.
"I see..."
