"Unfortunately for you, I must keep those thoughts to myself. If you are so curious that you must know it then it will require you to reveal all of your secrets to me. Not leaving even a small secret out," said Selene.
Xavier smiled, impressed by how she turned the tables on him. This was exactly what he liked about her. Selene was never afraid to challenge him for her benefit. Well, other than when she needed to kiss him.
"You will be surprised how curious I am about your desire to tell you all of my secrets. You have done your side of the deal so as promised, I will share a secret. One skill I have inherited is being quick on my feet," said Xavier.
Selene frowned. She did not go through all of that for this. "I know many purebloods who are fast. That is common knowledge. You have a habit of finding your way to my side extremely fast so I knew you had that skill. I want to know something rare."
"Then you should be more specific about what you want," Xavier used her words against her. "You are welcome to kiss me again but this time, I want a real kiss. Not one like children with the one they fancy."
"You are insufferable," Selene muttered.
Xavier stood up to be closer to Selene. He used their closeness to leave a kiss on her cheek. Since he knew now that she had thoughts of wanting him, he was going to play on that until she could not take it anymore.
"I am your dear husband. Who else to annoy you than me? I have sent Lucas to look into who started the rumours about us having an affair. We both know where we will end up but I want to know everyone involved in it. I will also keep up with the attack. Aren’t I warranted a gift for my hard work?" Xavier asked, seeking another kiss.
"Well done," Selene complimented him.
