Chapter 85: Kiss for a secret (2)
Xavier did not believe she would kiss him so early on. He was patient since he knew it would take some time for Selene to warm up to it, yet she was ready to kiss him for one of his secrets.
Had he known she would one day accept the deal, Xavier would have made it pricier. It should be two kisses for a secret instead of one. It felt like he was losing here.
Still, Xavier welcomed her to get what she wanted. He did not get up from his chair since his lap was the perfect seat for Selene to use.
Selene now questioned whether she should kiss him. His shock was replaced with enjoyment since he was finally getting what he wanted. She cursed herself for being too curious about his talents.
"Why can’t it be a secret for a secret? There is much about me that you do not know. Aren’t you curious?" Selene asked.
"I’m sure your secrets aren’t as good as mine. Don’t try to back out of this now when you just put on a good show. What happened to you being stronger than you look? Was that all a lie?" Xavier asked, his smile further taunting Selene.
Selene had a secret Xavier should be curious about. It was one where she was going to hurt him if he continued to be this way.
Selene cautiously approached Xavier to start the deal. She knew he wanted her to sit on his lap but she also knew how dangerous that would be. It would be too easy for him to trap her there.
"You must stand," Selene said since that was the only way she would kiss him.
