Chapter 68: She Likes Him
He looked like he’d been asleep for almost half an hour. Of course, even if he didn’t know it, the battle was over in that half hour.
When he opened his eyes again, Atlas was able to recognise the soldiers and others standing in front of him. He saw that the soldiers of the unit his sister had placed under his command were on their knees.
Even though he couldn’t understand what was going on, he noticed Cassandra sitting right next to him and said, "They must have realised you were a Sage, my lady."
"I am not the reason they are on their knees, my dear," Cassandra said with a face that held love on it while holding herself back from laughing, and then stood up holding Atlas.
At that moment, he saw behind the soldiers in front of him and saw hundreds...maybe thousands of soldiers on their knees.
It was something he had rarely seen, even in his previous life. After all, when the apocalypse descended on this world, everyone was looking for each other’s death, except for those who were close to each other.
"What’s going on?" Atlas asked in a low voice.
"The number of slaves on the home front exceeds ten thousand. if you hadn’t killed the summoners and cleared the way for them, they would have all died, they would have had a much larger mana capacity than necessary. What will they do but fall to their knees in front of the one who won the war?" Cassandra said suddenly.
He shook his head as he heard those words, but nothing came out of his vocal cords. It was obvious that he was touched, but this feeling was nothing more than pride.
