Chapter 7: Arrogance
After Emily and Jazmine disappeared into the office, the quiet working environment broke into a heated discussion. Since the discipline at Tang Enterprise was strict, employees had to painfully constrain the raging gossip in their tummies till the lunch break.
At lunch break on the fifth floor.
"The woman who was followed by Emily... was she really our new President?"
"Are you an idiot? Who else could she be if not for our new President, the Chairman's granddaughter? Have you ever seen Emily give anyone face in this company other than the Chairman?"
"But... She looked so different from what rumours say..."
"I know right? Did you just look at her? Her bearing was just top-notch. I dare compare her with our Chairman. She is indeed his daughter" A young female employee was particularly impressed by Jazmine. Her eyes were sparkling in excitement and she kept on praising her.
However, among the heated gossip, there was a plentiful of criticism too.
"Why are you guys so impressed with her already? Does a person's attire dictate everything? Knowledge and experience are something too." Osbert said nonchalantly.
"What a joke! Didn't she just get married just a few days back? What is she even here for? A woman's job is to assist her husband and raise his children. I thought after the marriage, Tang enterprise would directly come under the justification of Anderson enterprise."
