Chapter 6: New Beginning 2
Her wild and spoiled nature was a piece of common knowledge. So the people at the company held an overall negative opinion of her.
'In my last life, their disgust had brought their defiance. Their defiance had discouraged me and stopped me from taking further steps. I let my employees step all over me and ruined the overall discipline of the company. A company where the President is not respected can't succeed. But this time... I know exactly what to do.'
"President Jazmine, I'm your secretary assigned by Chairman, Emiley Carrol. I just received the news from the security guards that you would have arrived in the complex." A professional yet mellow voice landed in Jazmine's ears and brought a surge of joy within her.
Her green eyes glimmered in delight.
However, she quickly contained her happiness.
'This is technically my first meeting with Emily in this lifetime. If I am overly joyed after meeting her, she must think I am weird.'
With a gentle voice and a warm glow in her eyes, Jazmine answered.
"Emily, I have heard a lot about you. From now on... I hope we work together and bring the best of the Tang enterprise."
Emily was her mentor in her last life. When Jazmine first joined her company, she was a spoiled idiot. It was Emily who had been extremely patient with her and taught her all that she knew today.
'Too bad. In my last life, I hated Emily for pestering me. I even wanted to get rid of her. If not for my grandfather having her arranged to guide me, I would have already fired her using my position. I only realized how much worth she was once I lost her.'
Listening to Jazmine's response, Emily paused for a second. 'Didn't the Chairman say that Jazmine would be too difficult to work with and have no interest in the company? But looking at her eyes shimmering with determination... it doesn't feel like she fits the Chairman's description
"President Jazmine overpraise me. I will guide you to your office." Emily didn't think much of Jazmine so soon.
