Back at Nepthal Country, William was fully occupied handling the aftermath of everything, with Brandon and Uncle Ben assisting him closely.
At that moment, he stood inside Carla’s private hospital room, watching her as she lay unconscious on her bed. The doctors had confirmed she had ingested the same drug that was found in Aunt Summer’s system. Her treatment would begin tomorrow, following the same protocol that was now helping Summer recover.
"Tim probably thought this would keep you safe," William said, his voice low as he looked at Carla’s still form. "But he’s wrong."
He didn’t care if she could hear him or not. Maybe some part of her would listen, just like Aunt Summer had. Maybe her mind would begin to process everything.
"You’re going to wake up, Carla. And when you do, you’ll face everything you’ve done, every single lie, every person you’ve hurt."
His eyes narrowed slightly, his tone firm and resolute. He wasn’t just doing this for his sister-in-law or for the family, he was doing this for justice.
He had tightened security around Carla’s room. Not only were there guards stationed outside, but William had also ensured he personally knew every staff member assigned to her care.
Additional security agents had been planted throughout the hospital floor, cleverly disguised as nurses, orderlies, and even patients. No one would get in or out without his knowledge.
He wasn’t taking any chances, not this time.
