Rain returned to the hospital as soon as she ensured that Clifford was out of the police station. "Did you wait for me?" she hummed to Alexander, leaning down to kiss his cheek.
"How did it go?" Alyssa asked. Rain smiled, feeling grateful for how well she and Alyssa had been getting along lately. She often volunteered to stay with Alexander while Rain went out.
"It went well. Clifford’s out of the police station, but he still has to attend the trial," she explained.
"That’s good. What matters is that you and Big Brother Alexander are safe," Alyssa said, her tone thoughtful. "Although it’s obvious that Cosmos Electronics will use this opportunity to strike against the Lancaster Group. After all, Lancaster Electronics has remained their top rival, especially since Big Brother Alexander resumed his position as CEO."
Rain nodded, fully aware of the brewing corporate storm. Still, she trusted William to manage it all seamlessly. After all, he wasn’t alone. Dion was by his side, and starting tomorrow, Aunt Ava would be deeply involved as well.
