As she was too scared to play the video, the door was knocked and Mr. Ed walked to the door and checked the peephole.
"It’s Mr. Sinclair," he told Talia, questioning her whether he should let him in or not. The matter they are discussing is a private affair and he wanted to know if the Princess wanted to share it with Mr. Sinclair or not. Most women wouldn’t want their partners to know about it, right? Especially if it is with their ex-boyfriend?
"Let him in," Talia said without even thinking. She really didn’t think she could do this alone.
Arthur stepped in and in the living area, on the brown leather couch he saw that woman who looked amorous soms time ago, looking pale like she just saw a ghost.
"Fred... They say it’s a sex tape!" she said and Arthur’s heart stopped seeing the tear drop running through her cheek.
"Iris, it’s okay. We can handle it," he ran to her and hugged her. He could feel her shivering and patted her back. He turned to look at the monitor and from the title that he could understand it could be a tape with David.
His heart broke. He didn’t even have the guts to imagine her kissing David in the past. Although he knew she could have done it with him, it didn’t matter to him because he loved her so much. He could get over it since he never witnessed their closeness before. He even avoided pictures of Talia with David together because it would shatter his heart.
And now he is to watch a supposed home video of her and David? How cruel is that?
"There shouldn’t be one..." she said and Arthur thought that she didn’t consent for recording and not that she didn’t do it with David.
"Alright, whatever it is, I need to see!" Talia wiped her face in her sleeves and pressed the play button. She knew she’d never get this courage if Fred was not near her.
The video played and even Talia was confused seeing the background. It really looked like David’s place. The film was a bit grainy, and the woman in the film greatly resembled Talia. The man looked exactly like David. But the only thing that made Talia relieved was the fact that whatever going on there seemed consensual.
