Chapter 160: A Blackmail Tape (1)
Talia really wanted to bring Arthur to her room and talk for a while. Louis did say this was their hotel and so the privacy will be topnotch and nothing will be leaked to the press. She wanted to have some more time with Arthur.
Vivian realised Talia and Arthur lingering and after saying her good bye, dragged Jordan with her and left. "I’ll support you in the future too. You can ask anything of me. Take it that I owe you one," Vivian said before she left.
Talia looked at Mr. Ed seemingly disturbed by Arthur’s presence here.
"I’m taking him to my room," Talia’s heart was beating like crazy as she said that. She said that as an information but it only could be passed of as a request. She actually felt like she was a teenager once more, trying to negotiate with Cyrus if she could go to Fred’s apartment.
She knew she was being stupid. She is a grown woman who is twenty six. She can bring a man to her room if she wants to. She needs no one’s permission!
Mr. Ed couldn’t help but smile seeing his Princess nodding at Arthur and then scurrying out. Arthur who was pleasantly surprised, stood there and scratched the back of his head with a smile.
Arthur didn’t know why she calls a man who received Knighhood of the highest order in Rosandale ’Mr. Ed’. But he could see from the little interaction she had with him that she treats him the same way she used to treat Cyrus. He knew from his research that Sir Robert is a trusted confidante of the Old Lady whom she never parts with, and she sent him especially for Talia. He could understand Sir Robert cared the same way Cyrus cared for her too.
He really didn’t know if it is good or bad, but it is better if she moves on.
As Sir Robert left the restaurant, he turned and gave a look at Arthur. Arthur just smiled and nodded. He didn’t know why but he got a feeling that Sir Robert is not a big fan of him. And so are the members of Rosandale Royal family. But by the way his Iris wishes to add them as her extended family, he knew he needs to get permission from them along with Jerome Brunton, for her hand in marriage even before he proposes to his Iris.
