Chapter 149: True Friendship
The next day Talia when Talia woke up it was nearly noon. The entire household was listening to the Presidential address as President Carter congratulated the special law enforcement personnel and everyone involved in bringing down the notorious cartel Ruby Panthers.
The President also thanked the townsfolk of Wolfpine for their wholehearted support in the operation. President Carter also thanked the intelligence agencies of Esteria and Rosandale who provided with valuable informations that greatly aided in bringing down that ruthless hooligans who caused great harms to the valuable citizens of A Country. He also wished for the future good relationships between the three great nations.
"He just secured his second term in the Presidential office!" Clint said as he poured whisky in his coffee.
Talia looked at Clint who was clearly disappointed. But he is right. With this great victory and the deal with Rosandale and the new company deal signed by Northern Star, President Carter did secure his second term in office.
"You did this!" Clint pointed his finger at Talia and Talia just blinked her eyes.
She played a part; a bait to be precise in capturing the cartel.
"Talia, You put Becky in danger!" Talia heard Joe’s accusatory voice and she rolled her eyes.
"You brought danger to our doorstep!" Sally placed Little Mark’s sandwich plate hard on the dining table making a clinking noise.
Joe knew Sally is holding herself from cussing and shut up. He didn’t want to be thrown out in the cold once again.
