Chapter 147: Attempt To Stage
Arthur looked at the picture deeply once more and that creepy woman with psychotic eyes and frothing in her mouth, couldn’t be unseen by him. He’s seen this picture a lot of times and it is weird he never noticed this clingy gum being there before.
I cannot let that likho ruin this otherwise perfect picture for me!
A cold shiver ran through his spine seeing her face and he immediately walked to the drawer and got himself a black marker and started blackening that figure.
As he was meticulously scribbling on the picture not to let the black marker touch Iris’ picture, he heard a a slight screeching noise from the balcony.
Arthur is someone who grew up with danger lurking around him and he had developed a sense to these kind of things. It could be the noise made by the door... Or someone might have accidentally tripped at the lounge chair in the balcony. It is dark outside anyways.
He got alerted and he could see through his peripheral vision a shadow near the balcony door. He looked at the coffee table and in the reflection of the glass, he could identify a well-built man with a wire in his hand.
Wire...? Are they going to stage my suicide? And who’s they?
There was no sound in the room except the distant crashing of the waves and the sound of friction between the paper and the marker. Arthur still with his head bowed, scribbling on the paper, extended his left hand into his socks and pulled out his gun slowly and not alerting that man lurking in the dark.
But before anything happened, his room was banged open by his bodyguards.
