Will the Aloof Billionaire Divorce Today?

Chapter 1359: Isn’t This What You Wanted?

The meeting didn’t end just because Ian Douglas left early. On the contrary, many people lingered, discussing the source and content of that phone call with varied thoughts.

The atmosphere in the conference room was even more heated than during the meeting.

No matter who made the call or what was said, for most people connected with Seymour, this day was destined to be anything but calm.

--

"What are you doing?"

Matthew Saxon’s deep eyes narrowed slightly, as he stood expressionlessly behind Scarlett Yates, watching her take clothes out of the walk-in closet. As he watched, his brows furrowed.

Scarlett didn’t turn around, continuing to take her clothes out.

"Just packing up my things to move to the guest room."

After she started cohabiting with Matthew Saxon, many of their daily essentials were mixed together, with all clothes placed in the same walk-in closet.

Now that she wouldn’t be sharing a room with Matthew Saxon, naturally she needed to take her clothes out.

Matthew Saxon hadn’t ever considered living together with her.

No other woman had ever stayed in his room.

Even if Scarlett didn’t suggest it, he would have proposed living separately.

Hence, now that Scarlett was doing it of her own accord, he should be satisfied, yet the truth was he wasn’t satisfied at all. Watching her calmly and coldly taking out all her belongings, an inexplicable flame ignited in his heart.

Scarlett took out a few clothes for changing and, keeping her back to him, slowly folded them.

"Did I ever ask you to move to the guest room?" He pressed his lips tightly, attempting to suppress his inner rage, not wanting to lash out at her inexplicably.

She hadn’t done anything wrong.

While in the car, she had already mentioned to him that for now, they would live their own lives separately, not interfering with each other.

So, her current actions were fulfilling what she had said.

She was demonstrating through her actions that she truly meant it.

Scarlett still didn’t turn around, folding the clothes one by one, then picked them up, slowly straightened up, and spoke with a very calm voice: "You didn’t say so, but I think you’re certainly not used to sleeping with a strange woman, so I moved out on my own, isn’t that what you wished for?"

Matthew Saxon was stunned, his thin lips moved slightly, but he found himself speechless.

She left him utterly speechless.

Holding the clothes, she turned around without looking at him, brushed past him with a faint expression, as if she would rather not speak a word more if she could avoid communicating with him.

Matthew Saxon furrowed his brows tightly, his expression gradually darkened: "Scarlett Yates, do you really intend to do this?"

"I believe this mode of interaction is most suitable for our current situation. Doing so can reduce a lot of unnecessary conflicts." Her voice, like her expression, was calm, narrating her thoughts in an emotionless tone.

Matthew Saxon’s gaze deepened, his eyes narrowed further, and the hand hanging by his side unconsciously clenched into a fist: "Alright, if that’s what you want, I have no objections. Just remember what you said, don’t regret it later."

Regret?

Scarlett smiled faintly: "I remember it clearly. You don’t need to worry that I’ll forget."

After speaking, she held her pace and quickly walked out of his room.

After exiting, she softly closed the door to his bedroom.

Matthew Saxon’s clenched fist slowly relaxed, turning around, and knowing full well she was no longer there, he still looked in the direction she had left.
