Chapter 14: A Husband’s Need
The woman he thought would be waiting for him, wearing a sexy nightdress was sleeping! Not only was she sleeping, she was wearing a PJ set!
David almost tasted blood, his chest heaving with annoyance. He glanced down at his waist, only to be met with his raging erection. He let out a deep shaky breath, fists clenched and jaw locked in a tight, angry line.

David suddenly hissed, annoyance rolling off his body. What was he thinking about? She’d never rejected him before, even when she wasn’t in the mood, so why was he standing here, thinking nonsense?
He took large steps forward, beads of water rolling down his hair, and onto his already dried skin. The water glittered under the lights.
David smiled as he stood beside the bed, watching her peacefully sleeping face, only now noticing that she looked a bit exhausted.
What had she been up to for the past week? He’d refused to see her after she played that stunt of pregnancy with him, and it had been a week ever since.
