A giant meteor crashed down, petrifying the Fire Dragon on the spot. Fire Dragons possessed a natural [Control Resistance] ability, which halved the duration of any crowd control effects. So, what would have been a six-second petrification on other creatures only lasted three seconds on Fire Dragon Rend.
Three seconds of petrification... what could you do with that? For an ordinary player, maybe cast one or two minor skills barely a scratch. But for Elliot? Three seconds was an eternity.
Basic Attack -> Heavenly Descent (Skill?) -> Basic Attack -> Rock Burst -> Basic Attack -> True Man's Slash!
In those three seconds, Elliot unleashed a full combo without hesitation, a seamless flow of attacks dealing a massive 1800 damage.
Keep in mind, dragon-type creatures like this had incredibly high armor. Plus, his "Heavenly Descent" skill was more of a chip-damage ability.
To deal that much damage with one combo was already impressive. Even if Elliot gave the Fire Dragon those three seconds to attack him freely, it probably couldn't have dealt that much damage to him.
By the time Fire Dragon Rend broke free from petrification, it dazedly realized it only had about two hundred HP left.
Being at critical health seemed to enrage it. In a furious berserker charge, it threw its massive body at Elliot for a final, desperate attack.
