The Evil Lord's Wife Has Spirit Blood

Chapter 100

With the surprised gazes of Anastasia, Kieran, and Ivona directed at her, Michelle let her words flow out of her mouth. "David, I don’t know whether you noticed or not, but your friend, Alexander, knows, so there’s no harm in telling you: my soul energy is basically void. It’s black and my soul leash is Binding Chains. You should know that it means that I’m sensitive to the presence of void anywhere, and you have quite a bit of it around you. But it’s only around you. The one who got the void onto you was Alexander. I’ve only met him three or four times, and all the times, he reeked of void. He has void inside of him and it’s plaguing him."

"You two came to the Land of Exile because everything is weaker here, so neither of you would die. Your life might not have been in danger, but still, the void that got onto you from Alexander could have crippled you, so you came with him down here. Here, in a place where void and any other power work weaker and slower, you are hoping to find a way to get rid of the void, but in the years you’ve been here, you couldn’t think of anything, and your subordinates in the other realms couldn’t think of anything either, or they would have brought it to you already."

"That’s also why Dark Lord still exists. You and Alexander probably started working together because of something big in the past. By then, Alexander already had the void in his body, but it was still small or dormant, so he was most probably aware of it, but didn’t think much about it. But when you worked together, and for some reason created the identity of Dark Lord, he ended up pushing himself beyond his limits. Then, the void saved him, but it also grew and hit you, affecting both of you terribly. So, when you two came down here, you created the identity of Dark Lord here too, while your subordinates used the identity of Dark Lord in the other realms to search for a cure for you."

Listening to Michelle’s monologue, David’s playful smile slowly twisted into a frown. It wasn’t that he wanted to hide the truth; he didn’t really care about that, but it annoyed him that Michelle’s guess was so accurate, even though her only clue was the presence of void around him and in Alexander Terce’s body. "What does all the have to do with the information you want from me?" he questioned.

Michelle smiled and lazily rested her head on the headrest behind her. "Sometimes I wonder how you can be the leader of an information guild with your brain..." she chuckled. "I said it before!" She flicked her hand and black chains appeared around her arm. "I have completely black soul energy. I have soul energy which is identical to void. To the void around you and in Alexander’s body."

Finally, David understood what she meant. "And you want to exchange that just for the information about the Ostrich family? That doesn’t sound like a good deal for you," he frowned.

"Of course not. I want you to take us to the black market and help us investigate more about the Ostrich family and their connections in the upper realm. Let’s say it’s a payment for your direct interference." Michelle said, with a smile, as she stood up. "Also, don’t think of it like I’m doing something big for you. For me, taking hold of the void around you is easy, and even beneficial, so using it as payment for you is a good deal for me. I’m not paying you by saving your life. I’m paying you by taking away the void, which can save your life along the way."

When her words fell, David nearly broke out into a fit of hysterical laughter, but in the end he just chuckled and pressed the back of his hand to his forehead as he leaned back against the couch, his eyes shining with cynical laughter. It was clear what he was thinking. In the end, something he had been struggling with for years was completely dismissed by a fifteen-year-old girl with power equal to that of an ant in front of him. If he were just a bit prouder, he wouldn’t have been able to swallow Michelle’s attitude, but being the cynical head he was, he felt like dying of laughter.

Seeing the cynical glint in David’s eyes, Michelle sat back down, knowing it would take a while for him to calm down, but then she was met with the questioning gazes of Ivona, Anastasia, and Kieran, making her arch a brow. "What?" she asked as she looked at them. "What did I do again?" she added.

But neither of the three wanted to speak to her at the moment, as they had to process the information they had just found out, so they kept quiet, leaving Michelle to sigh and close her eyes, waiting for David to calm down.

When he calmed down, he reached into his sleeve and took out a communication stone. "What?" Alexander’s annoyed voice came through when David inserted spirit energy into the stone. "Why are you bothering me?" he asked.

David sighed and rubbed his temples in annoyance. "Come to the information guild..." he said before cutting off the connection and throwing the communication stone back into his spatial ring.
