Chapter 192: Fall apart
The atmosphere became light as everyone ate ate and joked at the same time. "It is good that you kids chose to share this with us first,we all know how panicked we would have been if the media came across this information before us." Grandpa Lu spoke as everyone nodded but of course, his happiness couldn’t be hidden because he thought he was going to wait for long before becoming a great grandpa but here he was, eagerly waiting to hold the baby!
The family had a warm dinner as they all avoided mentioning a wedding or marriage between the two since they were smart enough to leave what concerned the kids for them to properly arrange.
On the other side of the City, things weren’t good for Anna’s family because the distance between her parents became evident every single day. The family of three was peacefully having a meal when Jonathan’s phone beeped, indicating a message. "Honey.. I miss you! come to ******" Jonathan read the message and to say his mood immediately changed was an understatement!
Alice immediately noticed her husband’s change and couldn’t help but grit her teeth as she watched him put the food aside and walked upstairs in a hurry. "Mom, what is wrong with dad or rather you two?" The girl asked not knowing that she was going to be the reason her entire family was going to suffer. No, she is in fact the reason and very soon, she was going to be hit both sides with no ounce of mercy.
Alice just shook her head, trying to act cool when Anna passed her a pouch. She took one look at the pouch and smiled as she stood up and headed to the kitchen before heading upstairs with a glass of water.
In their room, Jonathan was busy searching for something which seemed to delay his departure forming a smug on Alice’s face. "Even if you are about to leave your wife cold again for yet another night, at least have a glass of water."
Alice’s voice rang attracting Jonathan’s attention. The man frowned but instead of arguing, he took the glass and gobbled down the content. He could have sworn the water tested weird but didn’t bother asking. Alice wore a victorious look and since she had heavily overdosed the drug, in just a minute, the drug kicked in and the man started feeling hot.
