Chapter 190: I love my woman the most
"I knew it! You hate me, you.. you lied to me!" In Ryan’s apartment, Chloe’s voice echoed waking the man who immediately rushed to the kitchen only to find his woman shouting and crying that he doesn’t love her!
Ryan panicked as he rushed to her side, "Babe! What’s wrong?" He tried hugging her but the girl pushed him away as she looked at him pitifully with her puffy red eyes, tears still streaming down her face. "You...you don’t love me anymore..." Her voice rang confusing Ryan who immediately tried to approach her once again. He knew better than to lash out on the woman before him so he gently asked her in a low comforting voice, not to forget that he was currently using his morning voice. "Of course I love my woman the most, who lied to you?" He asked as he noticed her defences were down making him pull her in for a hug.
"There is no milk!" The girl rumbled and that is when Ryan noticed the cereal bowl on the counter and an empty bottle of milk. The man tried suppressing his laughter when it dawned on him that her pregnancy hormones were now acting up. He was about to say something when the house cellphone rang prompting the man to pick it up. After a minute conversation he hang up with an annoyed but worried look on his face.
By now Chloe had stopped crying and was curiously looking at him. "What’s wrong? She asked and Ryan carried her to their bedroom as he explained. "There is a case at the hospital that I have to handle, meaning I have to head to the hospital but the problem is that I am worried about you babe." He said as he pecked her stomach making the girl smile.
"You are now carrying our baby and in your first trimester.. you need alot of care and attention even at work but I can’t possibly let you tire yourself out, I want to take care of you 24/7." He continued as he sighed making Chloe feel pity for him because of his position. The man literally came back home at 5 am after a surgery and now he has to go back to work. She could see the tiredness on his face making her cup his face.
"I don’t want you to worry about me Ryan.. let us announce our pregnancy to our families, that way both of our parents, especially mothers will take care of me." Her idea shocked Ryan who was about to protest but she shook her head continuing, "I also care for you and anyway, we’ll have to do it sooner or later. Now let’s both clean up and head to our work places." She said as she kissed him while pulling him to the bathroom along with her.
The girl had already forgotten that less than 10 minutes ago she was crying because she lacked milk for her cereal but she did not realize that her pregnancy hormones were really working to a point she could easily forget about something she was crying for minutes ago.
