Chapter 166: Keep up with the good spirit
Without anyone’s knowledge, a month quickly went by with Ian still away for the mission as the rest of the country had not recovered from the news of Mary and Ian’s sudden marriage.
Because she was now the wife of the major general, Mary couldn’t continue working as a receptionist and she therefore had to resign. In the Xi mansion, things were not good as father Xi and Derick were busy planning on how to regain their position. "Cynthia, I forbid you from being Anna’s lacky from today onwards, that girl isn’t useful anymore and you therefore have to befriend both Rose and that Lisa girl."
Derick spoke and the girl immediately nodded since she knew better that to joke around because their family was sinking and if the don’t save it soon, they were going to live being sorry.
Cynthia stood up and grabbed her purse as she headed for the JL entertainment. She got to the company’s parking lot where she came across Anna who seemed to be flexing her pregnancy. Cynthia wanted to go past her when Anna stopped her. "Hey Cynthia. I have a task for you." Cynthia gave her a disgusting look but being Anna, she is always too dumb to notice things. "This bitch..She only thinks about herself.." Cynthia inwardly cursed as she fixed herself and wore a fake smile.
"I am sorry Anna, I am busy." she gave back a simple reply and was about to leave but her answer unfortunately didn’t sit well with Anna who stopped the girl right on her tracks. "Hey hey hey hold it right there Cynthia. You have always done everything for me no matter how busy you are. What changed?"
Cythia was now getting pissed with the girl’s ranting as they were in public and everyone who was passing by could tell that Anna was telling her, a celebrity off. "Quit telling me what to do! Let me be Anna Lu!" The girl couldn’t take it anymore and shouted attracting more attention.
Anna was taken aback since this became the first time Cynthia was actually shouting at her! "Did you just shout at me? The girl asked to confirm whether she was really dreaming or did Cynthia just shout at her. "Yes Anna I shouted at you, just stay away from me with your many stupid orders!" Cynthia did not waste any second and proceeded to leave without waiting for Anna’s response when they both heard screams and praises prompting everyone to follow the direction of the screams.
Heading towards their direction were both Lisa and Rose and from the sides, some fans had been camping to get some autographs, something both Lisa and Rose couldn’t deny their fans. On seeing Lisa, Cynthia’s eyes glowed greedily as she rushed towards their direction.
