Chapter 158: Today is our day
Monday came so fast without anyone’s expection and as for Mary, she could have sworn she has never been this nervous before.
The girl had just gotten out of bed when it hit her that today was her wedding day, to someone who did not love her apparently.
She stood before her closet going through her clothes when her cell phone rang and without checking who the caller was, she picked it up only to hear a voice that almost made her wet.
"Good morning Wifey, I hope you had a beautiful night and that you are ready for today.." Ian’s deep morning voice sounded from the other end, making the girl stand rooted before his voice could once again bring her back to reality.
"Mary? Are you there?" Ian asked once he realized that there was no reply from the other end and this time round he got back a nervous reply but being Ian, he was able to figure out why she was reacting in such a manner, making him chuckle a little bit.
"Ohh hey there Ian.. Hehe..." Mary replied,seemingly not over the fact that this man had some fine ass morning voice.
"I am ready for today I guess, just a little bit nervous...see you at the bureau in like 2 hours." She said before immediately hanging up.
In his apartment, Ian stared at the phone for a while after she hang up and he couldn’t help but laugh lightly because he knew the exact reason for the girl’s reaction.
He put the phone down as got out of bed as he did some dances on his way to the kitchen because he was happy getting himself a good woman for a wife.
Back at the Lu residence Mary was busy staring at her phone after hanging up when it suddenly hit her that it was really Monday and she was supposed to be at work!
She immediately dialed Ryan’s number which was picked up within seconds and Ryan heard chuckling on the other end, "Yea Yea, I knew you would call but no worries cousin, I got you, someone is working in your place."
