Chapter 49: Mrs Lu
Both Jane and Ryan stared at her with blank expression and she knew the woman before her is indeed Jane Lu.
Clara turned to Mary, the receptionist and gave her a cold stare, "You witch! You just wanted to embarrass me before the young miss!"
Her attitude took a 360 degrees turn as she turned to talk to Jane. She bowed slightly and wore a bright smile.
"I am so sorry for the earlier encounter Miss Lu. I was just standing up for our boss,he is too handsome for women to ignore her. My name is Clara Xu but you can just call me Clara, there is no need for formalities between us, you see... " She immediately stopped talking when she heard a laughter, a non stop one in fact and realized Jane was laughing at her.
"Miss Clara, who told you that we have some kind of relationship for us to drop formalities? You see woman, I have met many women like you before and before you even dream further, let me burst your bubble, I can never allow such a pretentious woman like you to get together with my brother." Jane told her in her normal intimidating voice.
Boom! Clara felt like her ears were playing some joke on her and that Jane did not say such a thing. She did not even have time to respond before Jane continued, pointing at Mary,
"Such a woman is the kind of woman who deserves to be next to my brother here. A woman who clearly knows the difference between wrong and right. She is beautiful and smart, a perfect candidate for Mrs Lu. Isn’t that right bro?"
