Chapter 47: No need to doubt you
Jane got up and headed for her kitchen. She took a glass of water and ripped open the bag of medicine Liam gave her.
She took her medicine and heaved a sigh of relief but just then her phone rang. She immediately picked it up seeing Ryan’s name.
"Good morning darling sister. Why did you not tell your brother you are unwell?" Ryan grumbled on the other end.
"Come on Ryan, it’s nothing much, I am pretty much better right now." The girl meekly said. She fears getting Ryan angry because not even their parents can control his anger.
"Pretty well my foot! Jane Lu! Dress up and get your ass in my hospital in the next one hour, no argument young woman!" Ryan just had to shout for this stubborn girl to know he was damn serious.
Jane sighed. She knew it! "Fine brother, I will be there." She said as she hung up.
She stared at her glass of water for some minutes before picking her phone.
"Good morning Nicole. Reschedule all my meetings and appointments, I have some health matters to attend to. In case there is something that requires my attention, solve it on my behalf or send it to my e-mail if it is not up to your level." She said to the girl on the other end of the phone.
After she received a reply, she headed to get a shower and to get dressed.
Minutes later, the girl came out dressed in a denim trouser, a cute white top and a denim jacket. She finished her look with a pair of white fashionable sneakers.
Her beautiful black hair was curled and her face was free from makeup, just some lip gloss and mascara.
