The Supreme Soldier in the City

With one quick motion, John Brown suddenly embraced Sophia. Sophia did not expect John Brown to hug her under these circumstances and instinctively wanted to retaliate.

However, since this counted as a sneak attack by John Brown, her arms were already tightly bound, rendering her unable to move. Just as she was about to speak, she immediately let out a low growl, her eyes nearly bulging out, because there was a cool sensation at his lower body, evidently the throw knife of Sophia. If this woman’s finger moved even slightly, he would become a real butler.

But John Brown still didn’t release her, staring at Sophia and shouted, "I share life and death with them. If any of them are hurt, I will die with them!"

Diving back into the water once more, John Brown was much more cautious this time. Luckily for him, Sophia did not make any trouble, giving John Brown some relief. It seems what he said earlier had some effect.

Since John Brown and Sophia had said those words, Lucy Campbell, Emily Lopez, Sarah Utah, and John Brown became more emotionally excited as he provided breath for them. Through adversity, real feelings were revealed. What John Brown said earlier was more touching than any love talk.

After enduring for more than half an hour further, John Brown seemed close to exhaustion. However, it seemed they weren’t meant to perish. The storm suddenly weakened, and the waves weren’t as formidable. This made John Brown jubilant, quickly reminding everyone to be encouraged. Everyone felt it too, suddenly having more energy, enduring for a while longer.

The wind stopped, and the rain ceased. They floated on the sea’s surface, each too exhausted to even move a finger.

The afternoon sun became somewhat warm, bringing a slight warmth to their bodies, slowly recovering a bit of mental energy.
