Chapter 516 - 526: Making a Puppet
At a little past nine-thirty, Gina finished her work, and thinking about her promise to John, her face flushed red. During this time, she also pondered how to make things more harmonious between her and John, so she secretly read some books about marital relationships.
Upon reading, it became clear that the main reasons for disharmony between couples were not only emotional discord but also disharmony in their intimate life. Men always like novelty, so they are particularly fond of new and exciting things. When she is with John, she tends to hold back, which might prevent him from feeling satisfied, making it easy for him to look for other women outside.
Even though Gina is currently indulgent about John being with other women, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t care at heart. As a CEO and a highly intelligent woman, she knows that if she creates a fuss with John at this time and forces him not to be with those women, it will only backfire.
What she needs to do now is let John discover her virtues, make him more and more attached to this home, and elevate her position in his heart, leading to him leaving those women on his own. Only this way can their marriage last long.
So, matters in the bedroom are one aspect she needs to change. Although she doesn’t want to become a wild woman, she aims to satisfy John’s novelty-seeking in this area as much as possible.
However, she shouldn’t give John everything he wants all at once, which would make him lose his anticipation. She has to keep him thinking of her occasionally and satisfy him once in a while. In business, this is a highly sophisticated tactic. This advanced-level executive applies economic principles to her relationship, which is quite genius.
As she stepped out of the room, she saw Emily’s foot still on John’s leg, with John holding Emily’s foot in his hands. Gina didn’t mind and sat beside John, saying, "Still haven’t let you go?"
John let out a bitter smile and said, "Who told me to annoy her today? She said she wouldn’t let go unless I slept."
Emily leaned on her leg and gave it a pat, teasingly saying, "That’s enough, don’t treat your brother-in-law like a servant. If you keep bullying him, I’ll smack you."
Emily quickly withdrew her foot, stuck her tongue out at Gina, and said, "It’s truly like you don’t need a sister when you have a husband."
"Your brother-in-law treats you so well, yet you are constantly being petty. Really ungrateful."
