Chapter 417 - 424: The Indomitable Emily Lopez
"Mr. Frank, if you stop now, I won’t hold it against you. But if you persist, the consequences will be beyond what you can bear." Gina Lopez said as she stood up. Sandra immediately held her sister, sensing that Gina was already quite unwell.
Just then, the door was suddenly pushed open, and Christopher Taylor strode in, laughing heartily as he said, "Who are you trying to scare? Lucy Campbell may be powerful, but you’re just one of her employees. What can she do to us? Furthermore, today, I’m going to take you. We’ll be one-day husband and wife, a hundred days of grace, right? Surely you’d take my side, wouldn’t you? Haha."
"Christopher Taylor, so it’s you." Gina Lopez stared angrily at the man.
"That’s right, it’s me. That bastard James Brown angered me, so today, I’m going to take pleasure in his woman. Haha..."
If Gina had encountered anyone else, she might have tried to scare them off, but this was Christopher Taylor, who had significant grudges against James Brown. Moreover, he’d already learned about the deep relationship between James and Lucy from their last encounter. Now, he dared to stir up trouble again, making it pointless to bring Lucy Campbell into the equation.
Besides, Christopher’s family had a strong background. Though not as powerful as Lucy Campbell’s, it was enough to make it impossible for Lucy to casually uproot his family. It was likely this support that emboldened Christopher to target Gina.
"Christopher Taylor, you best not act recklessly, or I won’t let you off the hook." Gina’s body weakened further, the craving inside her growing stronger. Originally, looking at these men made her extremely disgusted, but now, she couldn’t shake the sudden impulse of wanting them to surround her.
This thought terrified Gina, causing her to bite her tongue hard, immediately regaining some clarity.
Sandra suddenly stretched out her hand, grabbed a wine bottle, and smashed it violently on the coffee table. Everyone was startled. When they looked at Sandra again, she was holding only the bottom half of the shattered bottle. Its jagged edges gleamed coldly, resembling a multi-bladed dagger.
This was something James Brown had taught her earlier. When faced with intimidation, she needed to outdo her aggressors in ferocity. Unless they were desperate criminals, they wouldn’t risk their lives against her.
Sandra raised the jagged bottle in her hand, her eyes gleaming with fierce determination, like an enraged tigress. She ground her teeth and shouted, "You scumbags, get the hell away from us! If any of you dares to come closer, I’ll fight you to the death."
