Chapter 416 - 423: The Lopez Sisters’ Crisis
James Brown didn’t do anything to the two girls; he just held them and fell asleep. Firstly, he couldn’t do anything to Charlotte, and secondly, he’d already been with Emma Campbell during the day. In this kind of situation, doing something with Emma might embarrass her greatly. Moreover, he didn’t want to act inappropriately in front of Charlotte. This girl might receive his affection, but he had no intention of taking things too far with her.
It was unknown how long he’d been sleeping when James suddenly heard the sound of his phone ringing. He immediately slipped his arm from under the girls’ necks without waking them and got out of bed.
Quickly locating his phone, he saw that the number displayed belonged to Emily Lopez. He answered the call but hadn’t spoken yet before Emily’s panicked voice came through: "Brother-in-law, something’s wrong. Someone here is planning to harm us; you need to come and save us immediately."
James felt his heart tighten and said, "I’ll be there right away. Protect yourselves in the meantime."
"Brother-in-law, you have to hurry! I’m sneaking this call to you from the bathroom. Those people aren’t letting my sister and me leave and clearly have bad intentions."
James’s eyes gleamed with a cold light. He quickly instructed Emily on a few self-defense techniques. Even as he spoke, he had already thrown on his clothes, opened the door, and rushed outside like a swift cheetah.
H Region was a wonderful vacation destination with beautiful scenery and excellent facilities. The front section of the property was open to regular guests, while the vast area toward the back was exclusively reserved for the wealthy, offering superior services and high-level luxury.
This time, Gina Lopez was attending a gala held in the garden area at the back of H Region.
Initially, the gala was perfectly normal, with speeches by leaders and discussions about business. However, after 9 p.m., some people began to leave while others stayed behind, most of them being young individuals.
