The Supreme Soldier in the City

Helen Wilson had to work overtime until past eight o’clock tonight before she, exhausted, drove back to her residential community.

But at this moment, she was extremely tense. With William Armstrong having escaped, this posed a significant threat. She believed that Armstrong would certainly not let her off the hook.

Even so, walking inside her community did not allow her to relax a bit, and it wasn’t until she opened her front door and entered her home that she breathed a sigh of relief.

Just as she was about to turn on the lights, she suddenly felt a sense of crisis, and then saw a dark shadow pounce towards her.

Although Helen Wilson was shocked, she did not panic; she ducked down and twisted her body, delivering a kick to the assailant’s abdomen.

Helen Wilson had been exercising strenuously recently and her martial arts skills had improved significantly. She kicked out not only with plenty of force but also with considerable speed. She believed that under such circumstances, there wouldn’t be many in the entire Public Security System of YODC City who could dodge her kick.

However, the opponent’s ability to avoid it was extraordinary; a simple twist of their body was all it took to sidestep her kick, and without losing momentum, a palm strike came slashing towards her neck.

Helen Wilson, greatly alarmed, rolled on the spot and passed right by the person, narrowly avoiding the palm strike.

But even having avoided the strike, Helen Wilson was sweating; these few exchanges told her that the opponent was far too strong for her to contend with. After rolling away, she quickly stood up and took a defensive stance, though her mind was now thinking about how to escape.

However, the assailant did not continue attacking. With a "click," the lights in the room suddenly turned on.

"Ah! It’s you!" Helen Wilson squinted her eyes, adjusting to the light in the room, and when she saw who it was, she couldn’t help but exclaim with surprise and joy.
